W+K上海:《延边口技》|YanBianBox

留在展映名单上的唯一一部中国内地作品《延边口技 YanBianBox》也宣布退出墨尔本电影节。不谈政治。

经讨论，W+K上海决定《延边口技 YB Box》退出墨尔本电影节的展映及后续环节。导演刘峰在周一早晨休假回到公司后第一时间表达了坚决退出展映的意愿。
Following discussion today, W+K Shanghai has decided to withdraw the YB BOX documentary from the Melbourne International Film Festival. This decision was reached with the full agreement of the film’s director, Liu Feng, following his return from a family holiday today.

这次退出是W+K上海的全权决定，并已于早些时候将该决定告之墨尔本国际电影节组委会。
We’ve already informed this decision to MIFF committee and is the sole decision of W+K Shanghai.

《YB Box延边口技》讲述的是我国吉林省延边朝鲜族自治州几个年轻人通过beatbox影响中国街头文化的一段旅程和难忘经历。它是第一部展示在中国出现的 beatbox文化的原始力量和创造性的影片，反映Beatbox如何向美国和欧洲的艺术家学习以进化出自己的声音和灵魂。影片表现了一种融合中国、朝鲜 以及西方街头文化的另类领域发展出的独特的文化形式，见证了Beatbox这种另类音乐形式在中国的传播和发展。
YB BOX narrates the journey and unforgettable experience of three young beatboxers, from Yanbian in Jilin Province, as they travel from Yan Bian to Beijing and Shanghai to support one of the world’s top beatboxers, Killa Kela. YBBOX is the first film to show the raw force and creativity of China’s emerging beatbox culture, how it has learnt from American and European artists, to develop its own sound and its own soul.

YBBOX影片中以桂晶为代表的年轻人，在中朝边境的家乡接触到这种全新的文化形式，经过自己的努力掌握 beatbox技巧，成为中国beatbox文化的标志性人物。随后桂晶和他的朋友因为beatbox来到上海和北京、跟世界顶尖的beatbox高手 Killa Kela同台演出和交流。这些喜欢beatbox的年轻人通过自己的努力获得了大众认可，他们真诚纯粹的追求着自己的梦想，这些年轻人的成功引起了更多 beatbox爱好者的关注。桂晶们在追求梦想时走过的路线影响了更多的喜欢beatbox的年轻人。大量喜爱beatbox爱好者的存在使得延边地区成 为中国beatbox圣地，并且以延边为中心辐射周围的亚文化艺术形式。
Led by Gui Jing, the film shows how creative culture can emerge and grow in the most unexpected places and reveals the energy, curiosity and innovation of China’s youth. Hammer, the film director, follow Gui Jing and two through out the journey. We see how two groups of artists, from very different parts of the world, are united by their love of beatboxing. From the reception that the YB boys get, it’s clear that their love and passion for beatboxing shines through and acts as inspiration for other hip hop lovers across China.
